Synopsis

The association Achitect Sans Frontière – Batir et Développer, headed by Amélie Essesse, supports the activities of women builders. Shot in Niger, this film introduces us to the women of the Bella, Sonrai and Touareg tribes who are working to conserve their traditions and knowledge in the creation of tents and decorative painting, etc., work traditionally done by women.

We voyage through Nigeria and discover, among other things, the artisanal work of the women of the village of Tamtala (pottery, plaits of sorghum fiber, tents with wooden structures), superb paintings of Kutugu Island and the construction of a traditional hut by the Tourareg women of Agadez.
